Drone footage starts at 420 euros plus VAT. This includes two hours of flight and recording time plus two hours of editing, which produces one or two short clips. Travel to and from the location is added. Within a larger production, aerial shots are usually part of the shoot day and are not charged separately. Whether flying is permitted depends on the airspace zone. I am A1/A2/A3 certified and check the zones around your location before the shoot.

I am certified as an A1/A2/A3 drone pilot in the EU Open Category and have extensive experience as an FPV operator. For flights in special control zones, I apply for the required permits from the responsible aviation authorities.

A cinema drone is perfect for calm, high-resolution and stable aerial panoramic shots. An FPV drone (First Person View), on the other hand, enables extremely dynamic and immersive fly-throughs of buildings, forests or landscapes. Both types complement each other ideally for a modern video production.

Strict restrictions on the use of drones apply in nature reserves and national parks. The permit situation must always be clarified in advance with the relevant authorities. Please note that applying for such an exemption requires a certain amount of lead time.

My cinema drone delivers high-resolution material in up to 6K. The FPV drone records in brilliant 4K resolution.

The cinema drone can be used stably up to a wind speed of 43 km/h. The smaller FPV drone flies safely up to 38 km/h. In stronger wind or rain, however, flights must be postponed for safety reasons.

Flights in the immediate vicinity of hospitals with helicopter landing pads, military facilities or in densely populated urban areas are subject to extremely strict regulations. If such shots are essential for your project, this requires intensive planning and a lot of lead time for the official special permits. I behave very strictly and safety-consciously here.

Yes, I am also available for sports events and live events. The drone's live image can be transmitted directly to the equipment of the responsible production company or to the event control room.

Inside nature reserves a drone flight is generally not permitted, and I stick to that. Many hotels and businesses in South Tyrol sit close to such zones, so I always check the flight zones for your location before the shoot day and tell you honestly what is possible and what is not. Where flying is not allowed I plan legal alternatives: perspectives from outside the zone, longer focal lengths or elevated positions on the ground. In many cases that produces an image very close to the one you had in mind.

Aerial shots depend on light even more than ground footage, because the landscape fills half the frame. I work out in advance at what angle the sun will sit for your location and schedule the flights into the golden hour. With the sun high, mountain slopes look flat and shadows turn hard, so those hours go to ground or interior work instead. The flight times are therefore fixed before the shoot day and agreed with you.

For calm, even camera moves I use a DJI Mavic 4 Pro. For dynamic flights, through tight spaces, across slopes or close past objects, I use an FPV drone. The two systems complement each other: one delivers the sustained establishing shots, the other the footage with pace. I am certified to A1, A2 and A3 and fly both systems myself.
